Madison told me I needed to be at the school at a certain time to see her get an award. When I asked her what award it was, she couldn't tell me. I was so proud of her when I found out it was a Rising Star Award! Those are awards given to kids that have made leaps-and-bounds improvements at school.
She has grown so much with Mrs. Mlsek as her teacher this year. 5th grade has really been a blast in her classroom. Mrs. Mlsek always has a hug for Madison and a mouthful of encouraging words. Madison has worked so hard to improve her spelling and reading and is far above average in her math and science skills. Social Studies has been really fun as Madison worked on her bio project about Molly Pitcher. Ask her about it some time!
